Business Confidence Survey

The Sunshine Coast Business Survey is a series of quarterly surveys undertaken by Boardroom Business and is supported by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Chambers of Commerce.

The survey focuses on business confidence (not business data/statistics) with the intention to compare results within and across regions, and track our own results over time.

This survey will result in a better understanding of business conditions in our own region without having to rely on the media and/or national survey results.

September 2009 Business Confidence Survey

Businesses on the Sunshine Coast remain very positive about the future with results over the past three months stronger than over the past nine months.

This confidence trend, which has been the differentiator between Coast businesses and the rest of the State, has continued as Coast businesses continue to remain more positive than the rest of the State.

There was a significant inclrease in firms on the Sunshine Coast reporting stronger results over the last three months increasing 23 percent to just under half of all businesses surveyed.
